All the Tears That Shine (Commentary)
"All the Tears That Shine" was a song that
I started to explore that seat of the song
On the very last day on the volume between albums
I was starting to hear extra songs to write
So I came up I think the opening riff
And maybe a couple of the opening lines
And then it sat there until I made a little demo about it
About a year and a half ago
And again Steve Luca there came, heard that song
And said we have to have that song on this record
Yeah, that was one, I said that's a home run debut (yeah, yeah)
We wanted to split the vocals up on this single
That's a great thing about one thing we've always done
And now with Steve singing lead vocal
And Joseph obviously being our primary lead singer
Having Dave and I evenly matched through the whole course of the album
Makes it more of a classic total racker in the old school way
I love the song myself
