Saved By Grace

We've all fallen short of the glory of the Father (Rom. 3: 23)
We're not just imperfect, we're all wretched sinners (Rom. 7: 24)
Our righteous acts are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64: 6)
No one is righteous not even one, all have turned away (Rom. 3: 10, 12)

We were dead in our sins (Eph. 2: 1)
We lived in the passions and desires of our flesh (Eph. 2: 3)
Vessels of wrath (Rom. 9: 22)
Prepared for destruction, but God being rich in compassion
Because of the great love that He had for us
He made us alive together with Christ (Eph. 2: 4-5)

We are saved by grace
There's nothing we can do
To earn a free gift of God to all who believe
We are saved by grace
Through faith not by works so no one may boast (Eph. 2: 8-9)
Except in the cross of our Lord Jesus (Gal. 6: 14)

We're not justified by works of the law (Rom. 3: 28; Gal. 2: 16)
But we are justified freely by God's grace
Through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Rom. 3: 24)
So believe in the Lord and you will be saved (Acts 16: 31)

I used to work for my salvation

And believe and rely completely on His

If by grace we are saved then it's not of works
Or grace would not be grace anymore
And if we're saved by works there is no grace (Rom. 11: 6)
It's one or the other, God be praised
