You Wish - Commentary

The song "you wish" is quite an interesting story in itself because
Originally, the idea came based around a song that I wrote with an artist called Moses
Who's appeared on "the feeling good" album and also on the "inner space sound" album
We recorded a track for his album, he had another album called "so still"
And there's a track on that called "fuzz", and me and Robin telephoned, worked on this song
And used the inspiration of the duty clear song, private number
But didn't use the sample of private number
And then during making "inner space sound", I said to Robin
I really, really want to get back to using this sample, because
I feel that there's something there, I feel that we could do a question answer thing

With a rod, solo and with the guitar, If playing off each other
And so Robin does what he does, messed about on the keyboard a little bit
And I picked out a few melodies and we worked around the melodies
That became the question and answer thing of you wish and we did it in like two hours
It wasn't sort of real big deal or big amount of time spent on that track

The interesting thing is the way that the track has picked up it's momentum and it's popularity
In the in the US, it's been amazing, you know, I suppose, if you keep wishing
Wishes come true and thať's you wish
