My mum was a big Ray Charles fan
I tell stories on stage about bein' in Scotland
In Scotland everybody fights and sings and drinks
Not necessarily in that order
Glasgow particularly, they have a few drinks and they love to sing
Every group of friends, each person has their favourite songs that they sing

These are my songs they sing
My mum's songs were Ray Charles songs and um
So I've heard this song a million times as a kid
Probably one of the earliest songs I ever sang
I actually used to sing it in Cold Chisel when I was 17 years old
We had - it was in our earliest repertoire
I've done it at parties for years
My daughters's recorded it
It's one of the great thick songs to sing of all time
It's a Ray Charles song "Hallelujah I Love Her So"
