Home
Nine months out and I am struggling
It's been a long, hard time on this journey
I've been wanting to go home because it seems so hard
To keep on going and the road seems so far
So I get down on my knees and I begin to pray
I ask my Father above, "Do I really need to stay?"
Because I'm missing home, where I feel like I belong
Where I could bring the music and I could sing my song
I'm missing home, it really will be too long
If I wait another 15 months
I'm missing home, Whoa-oh-oh
I'm missing home, Whoa-oh-oh-oh
I think I have my answer, I think that I should leave
But before I do, let me just do one more thing
So I talked to my mission president, he helped me to feel better
But now, ten months out, I am starting to remember
All the fun times
All the good times
All the times that I've left behind
Because I'm missing home, where I feel like I belong
Where I could bring the music and I could sing my song
I'm missing home, it really will be too long
If I wait another 14 months
I'm missing home, Whoa-oh-oh
I'm missing home, Whoa-oh-oh-oh
So here I am lying on my bed
With all of these voices echoing inside my head
I cry out to Heavenly Father
"How much long do I have to endure?"
And He says
"I know you're missing home, but this is where you belong
This is where you bring the music and you begin a new song
This is where you preach my gospel to those far and near
I knew that you could do it, that's why I called you here
Whoa, sure, it may be hard, you may want to give up
But know that I am with you, I've already drank out of that cup
I know you're missing home, but it really won't be too long
If you wait another 14 months, I'll bring you home"
When it gets so hard that I can barely see (I'll bring you home)
I always remember what He said to me (I'll bring you home)
Whoa, and I remember that eventually (I'll bring you home)
I'll be home in time, but until then
I'm a missionary (I'll bring you home)
Whoa-oh-oh, I'm a missionary
I don't want to go home
Until I'm done
It's been a long, hard time on this journey
I've been wanting to go home because it seems so hard
To keep on going and the road seems so far
So I get down on my knees and I begin to pray
I ask my Father above, "Do I really need to stay?"
