The Sheep

Your wool is white, but your skin is black
But you are unaware of that
Together in a pasture far away from all the wolf packs
Living in fear, cowardice
Alone in your sphere, powerless
But you live in fear of being under attack
Where were you when you heard the screaming in the trees?
I know you know very well what was happening

And you are choosing to flea
Cause it would be such a breeze
To not freeze in the breeze, forget about me
Pretend like I am not here, When you're afraid and alone, hoping that I won't hear
That I'm not waiting for you to slip and fall
Your desire to please your decrees instead of God up above is the reason our world is diseased
You've poisoned the youth, distorted the truth; put yourself higher than the words you preach

You should spend more time practicing the words you preach
Instead of feeding like a leach on deceit
But the rest of the sheep are as oblivious the truth, following blindly, deaf to all but your speech
I hope the screams keep you up at night
Because you're at blame just as much as me
You led them right into my sight, but that's quite alright
You'll never do whats right, I can count on you to lead another right to my bite

Your wool is white, but your skin is black
Funny how much irony lies in that
Wear your white wool and charade this parade
To conceal the darkness that lies underneath, yeah

You're gonna' feel my might, you can try and fight
But you're lazy and I know better, coward filled up with fright
If I killed you off that wouldn't be too bright
Because you're the one feeding me every night
Dumbing down the sheep, thinking you can be saved
By what you can recite, it's my delight
See life die tonight, crimson spilled on wool so white
Life void in your eyes, from my bite tonight

What are you accomplishing living life alone, never leaving your shell? (Hermit)
Say what you want now student, we were meant to be more than students
Book worms and bible worms, sermon makers for literature
But tell me where are the people of God?
You clearly don't know just put on your facade

Out of heart and out of mind
You're the law without a God, and you're out of your mind
Congratulations to the greatest of back slackers, heartless professionals and rationalists
And the least of all preachers in God's estaminet
You're not a man of God, you're a man of affair
A man of the people, not a man of prayer

Woe to the one who led the sheep astray
The betrayal of his people from his lies at the steeple
Lead to dismay and for all to decay
The coat you wear is as dangerous as the teeth I bare
One in the same, I guess we are the same
What's worse a wolf in sheep's clothing
Or the blind sheep that are completely unaware?
