Red River

I can't see why I swim
A disappearing grin
Seems to keep me stuck in this spin
How long will I still here
Self-destructing?
How long will I stay here?

A dusty old photograph
Looking at it, I almost hear your laugh

I can't see why swim
When no seems to grin anymore
When you pass them on the street
How long will I stay here sliding through this world
As if it owes me anything at all?

Then I remember all that you've been through
And it starts making sense because I can feel it too

I can't see why I swim
But I'll do it with a grin
If it helps keep you afloat
How long will I stay here?
I don't know
But I promised myself I'd try and give it one more day
