Foreigner

Sometimes I miss my old home
Wherever home used to be
I can't remember where I used to live
But I guess they're happy that I'm here

Staring at the stars, I wonder when
I'll see someone like me again
Mother spaceship hasn't called for a while

I feel I wasn't the only stranger
Brought to Earth to learn about the danger
Of living based on error and try

Sometimes I miss my old home

I'm observing and making contact
With the humans around me
But isn't the same as interacting
With another of my specie

I'm learning a lot, can't deny the fact
I'm the best me I could ever be
But I still wish I'll find somehow
Another intruder in the crowd

Nothing against humans, they're okay
But most of the times I have so little to say
I don't feel I add to the conversation

Maybe I'm judging myself too hard
Like I could lose my green card
Just 'cuz' my human portrait don't get a standing ovation

Sometimes I miss my old home

I'm observing and making contact
With the humans around me
But isn't the same as interacting
With another of my species

I'm learning a lot, can't deny the fact
I'm the best me I could ever be
But I still wish I'll find somehow
Another intruder in the crowd

Can't deny, your planet's fine
And you seem an interesting species
But I wish I could find
Aliens like me more easily
Do you have an app for this?
(Please)
