Ted Cruz Gave Me Coronavirus
No I'm not quite finished yet
Sick of all the stories that I'm hearing on the internet
The people starving and praying that god will see em
While their leaders take their taxes and they build a Coliseum
I find it hard to have faith in this nation
With my friends gassed in the streets without provocation
My visions getting dizzy, the divisions in my city
Are vicious, capricious, and y'all worried about a quarterback sitting?
I wish that I was kidding but I'm deadly fucking serious
Spirits are crushed because of outward appearances
The people on top will try to put fear in us
But when God said that we were all equal, was he not fucking clear enough?
How was I ever given a fair chance
When ninety percent of the wealth sits in a dozen hands?
Left out to starve if i don't meet their demands
While they cash another check on some more stolen land
We are all immigrants. We are all dreamers
Our mother's mother's brought us to this soil because the future was clearer
But this American dream was less than it appeared
Dismantled under the hands of our dear leader
I find myself often with tears in my eyes
But have to write raps about it because I'm too afraid to cry
The world too consumed with hate to realize
You wouldn't kill your neighbors if you knew they were the same inside
The world is ending and I feel powerless to stop it
I just watch through the glowing rectangle in my pocket
200 thousand dead and even more in the hospital
Because the fucking Apprentice host is in the oval office
If there's a god or some aliens out there then we need a signal
Cuz things on earth look pretty fucking dismal
Somewhere out there has got to be a light to guide us
Ted Cruz gave me coronavirus
This shit so insane
It's so hard to just survive in the modern age
I just wanna feel again
But I can't cuz I know that they'll take it away
This shit so insane
It's so hard to just survive in the modern age
I just wanna feel again
But I can't cuz I know that they'll take it away
