Sun's Core

An elderly man was clutching a flask
He muttered these words through his oxygen mask
Son, I've been told as your body grows old
Your muscles all melt as your mind starts to mold

Then one week later, a sound filled the halls
The old man had emptied his skull on the walls
The nurses all screamed as they started to run
Just as a cold, limp hand dropped the man's gun

With my head on the bed, and my leg in a cast
I muttered these words through my oxygen mask
