Wherever That May Be

Leanin' on the window
The concrete jungle blurs on by
I don't know how long my journey will last
I try and just enjoy the ride
The faded leather cushions
Hold all the souls who've shared this sight
The contour of the seatback is never quite right
For me to fall asleep at night

Will I ever know if I've reached home?
Or is it a place I've always known?
Somebody tell me now
This odyssey feels like it takes so long
And in the end
I find I've been home all along

I think of where I've traveled
Why I feel compelled to change the scene
The rusty sheds that crumble beneath the sun
Snowcapped mountains in between
I think of where I'm going
To places that I can't conceive
Why do I even try to visualize
Projections of my memories

Will I ever know if I've reached home?
Or is it a place I've always known?
Somebody tell me now
This odyssey feels like it takes so long
And in the end
I find I've been home
But have I ever really been home
And will I ever really know where home will be?

Just where home will be
I may never know
Maybe home could be
Wherever I may go

Just where home will be
I may never know
Maybe home could be
Wherever I may go

Just where home will be
I may never know
Maybe home could be
Wherever I may go

Home will be
I may never know
Maybe home could be
Wherever I may go

Just where home will be
I may never know
Maybe home could be wherever

I feel the seasons changing
My summer home was getting cold
I feel again the knots, graceful twisting of my guts
What I once loved is growing old
I need to find companions
Ready to build something new
I peel back from the window
See the faces in the seats
Who know just what I'm going through
