Sugarcoat

My mask of glue and plastic hides my fragile face
It's almost like a magic spell I put into place
As not to cause alarm to anyone who might suspect that I'm not real

Slowly building my relationships with people that I know
It's not what I expected but I've learned to go with the flow
I must adapt because it's the only way to that prove I am real
But I'm not real

I never said you had to put your trust in me
Despite my fancy time, my pretty lies are pretty see through
Look closely at my smile and you will find that my disease lies
Right behind my teeth and down my throat
And I'm not gonna sugarcoat it

You're dead to me
The world is full of horrid people from end to end
And most of those considered good
Are only pretending to fit into what they were told, counts as real

I never said you had to put your trust in me
Despite my fancy time, my pretty lies are pretty see through
Look closely at my smile and you will find that my disease lies
Right behind my teeth and down my throat

And I'm not gonna sugarcoat it
I like it bitter anyway
I don't know what to say to you
It was fake

I never said you had to put your trust in me
Despite my fancy time, my pretty lies are pretty see through
Look closely at my smile and you will find that my disease lies
Right behind my teeth and down my throat

And I'm not gonna sugar coat you
