Found Colors

Sitting on a car on the street of the cul-de-sac
I watch the dog's coats go by:
Merle, brindle, liver, tuxedo, harlequin, flecked, spotted and sable
I enter the studio and observe the rock collection on the table:
Adamantine, vitreous, greasy, metallic, resinous and dull
I went out to the local coffee shop and looked at the flavours of teas on the menu:
Lemon balm, ginger, cinnamon, orange, peppermint, hibiscus and rooibos
Then I'll be splattering in broad hues paintings of all types:
Watercolours, oils, pastel, acrylic, pencil, ink, ball point pen, fresco and gouache
