Terrace

As you awake from an angry sleep
Your head rises lighter from the pillow
You'll pay attention to the morrow sweep
The air runs through the tears of the willow

Whispers that turn to yelling, make you tired
Your mind always takes the toll
Go above, to the level that keeps you inspired
Take your lonesome stroll

The Terrace will draw you out
Whenever you are in doubt
A plain where reflections run spry
Bring your spirits mighty high

While I rake the sand between the rocks
The yellow ripples reach the shore
That contains this desert in a wooden box
Where the fruits are ripe to the core

Smoke floods the valley below
I'm sure they asked for the mist
I must oversee that it won't overflow
The ones under it won't be missed

The Terrace will draw you out
Let your resolve never drought
A bridge among the brown and blue
Leading you to places you never knew

My upper road is paved in chalk
Butterflies trace it with their tails
Wings soar for an instant in the flock
Like narrow ships with painted sails

While others smile crawling on asphalt
My path is checkered and marmoreal
It's lifted, coloured in cobalt
Lines in circles that are Hyperboreal
