Out of the Tunnel
I have a happy life
Nothing seems bad to me
I love my family
I truly do enjoy my job
I see the world, I meet people, I do have fun
In my free time I have
So many things to do
Goin' out with my wife
Takin' care of my kids
I do like playin' many sports when I'm free
Just give me a ball and a team to play with
I enjoy cooking my favorite meals
I always listen to my CDs
I never stop, I never stop, I never stop
But when things go well the doom can hit you any time
I woke up bleeding one day, to the hospital they took me
I saw broken arms, I saw heart attacks
I didn't feel so bad, but a doctor came and told me man
The cancer is in you
The sky is falling upon my head
The future looks so obscure to me
I enter a dark tunnel, no light shines at the end
But I want to fight, I need to win this battle
I owe it to my kids they are too young to lose me
So let's approach the surgery with the smile on my lips
Don't show any fear to my loved ones, they want me to be strong
Pain and fear I'm feeling now will make me even stronger
Once I've won over my doom and I'll be out of the tunnel
Think positive, never give up, don't stop believin'
The day has come, they take me to a shining operating room
I'm on the bed, I cannot move, It's time for me to face my doom
Sedation starts, I'm feeling cold, a nurse just smiles to keep me calm
Let's sleep a while, she says to me. Will I ever wake up?
I don't know how long did it take, but I'm finally awake
They took the beast away from me, now it's time to have my therapies
It's hard, I sweat, I lose my strength, next two three hours I will feel bad
Nobody knows the pain I feel, as long as I don't stop my wheel
Does that make sense? Sometimes I think, when my life looks as black as ink
I need to look deep inside me, to find the reasons to believe
My daughter's smile, my son who plays, they add some joy to my bad days
The sun who shines, the glass half full, all thoughts that help me stayin' cool
Many months have passed, It's been hard but I made it
I can finally say
I'm out of the tunnel
Nothing seems bad to me
I love my family
I truly do enjoy my job
I see the world, I meet people, I do have fun
In my free time I have
So many things to do
