To spend 2 years of your life hunting and searching
To find a new way of life ever since the world changed
Shoutout to all people that made it through their cursed days

With that said, rewind the clock
Back to early 2020
Back when people thought they knew exactly where they were heading
Devised plans to the top aptly share later blessings
Massive actions couldn't stop their plans or change their direction
But given the circumstance success was tediously dependent
On the outcome of their efforts but really no one expected
A 180-degree flip
Made it so it don't mean shit
All starting from the bottom
Other words, we in the same ship

How would you row your boat
Do you see the horizon?
That's just the way it goes
I hope what you search for you find it
We're changing with the seasons
But this a different climate
As long as we breathing
No mountains tall enough, we can climb it
We take it step by step
And every chance we take
Is clarification even if we go out and make mistakes

That's the year that everything kinda changed
For better or for worse
Everyone's in a scramble, they're all lost
They're all trying to figure out new hobbies and interests
Just anything that can keep them sane
And I know everyone has their own share of stories
But that's why I'm here
So I can share with you mine
Here's what I've been up to

My name is Ethan King
But you can call me Ekko
Behind the scenes I'm pulling strings
Feeling like Geppetto
Too focused on my craft, with details I can never settled
Felt like going back, wasn't confident I was in the middle
Saw them as bonus tracks in the end I wasn't sentimental
Then immediately scrapped the projects it's experimental
Holding on to drafts hoping it would end my battles
But time was moving fast until the changes didn't resemble
How it was
Or at least how it appeared from the surface
Kept them locked away due to fear cause I was too nervous
I could do it better in a year it would be perfect
But endeavors weren't clear so I became a different person
But the word is
I've been in and out of writing back in 2021
I lost my purpose I didn't feel enough
Write a hundred tracks and only pick the one
That would fit my standards
2 years passed and 4 tracks was the sum
Uh

At times I think to myself what took me so long to start
Would rapping ring any bells belonging to different hearts
But first I had to fix myself, let go, resentment hard
Felt like I was shooting all my shots but barely missed the mark
Misunderstood, more like I really missed the bulls eye huh
Cause being filled with hate to me more like a full time job
That doesn't even pay, ain't worth your time or worth your day
Clearer minds can look away
Can't let you be consumed by hate cause
