IV. Resolve

I see monsters in the dark
That I used to hide from
But now choose to pick apart
With respect to a new horizon

When left to its own device, grew to accumulate
Harbored resentment and hate with the spirit of Cain
Now looking back to problems yet to fix and I have stalled
Took a step back with new perspective as I aim to resolve

Didn't have the tools back then
I was left defenseless
Would fool myself with surface strength
And claim I was relentless

But as I move forward
No matter how mountain tall or steep the hill
Won't be corrupted in the long or short term
Aim to always keep it real

Cause in this world, you can have power
And be consumed by your wealth
But in the end, know nothing matters
If you're not true to yourself

And though I'm a lost soul
I'm comfortable to take the fall
Cause when I get back up it only cast votes that strengthen my resolve
