Two Days

Daydreams are all I can summon
Walk by in paradise softly humming
Because where I'm going you are coming
But only inside my diluted mind
Where the sun don't cease to shine
And everything is always fine
Outside conviction tends to hide
Execution is quick to subside
Laziness too frequently resides

So I'm wishing on superstition to fall from the skies
I'm aware of potential despair but dumb enough to try

Nice try!
This'll never get me anywhere
Hats off!
And thrown into the air
Nice try!
My hands are not dirty enough
Two days!
Then back to the same old stuff

Daydreams are all I've got here
A place or two to keep my head clear
A motive that's difficult to steer
A game plan impossible to explain
A storyline that radiates insane
I'm trying hard not to think in vain
I remain on this fictitious cloud
Not looking but rather falling down
After the facts is all that resounds

So I'm wishing on superstition to fall from the skies
I'm aware of potential despair but dumb enough to try

Nice try!
This'll never get me anywhere
Hats off!
And thrown into the air
Nice try!
My hands are not dirty enough
Two days!
Then back to the same old stuff
