There's nothing new to introduce through song

As I say lofty's one of my favorite words
It's nothing new just another redundant tune
If it were up to you would you repeat it too
The results are usually the same
A trivial amount of talent is all you need
Creativity well that's subjective
Passion turns to arrogance and greed
You look alike and you sound alike

Idiots crowd the streets
Acknowledging familiar beats
In the background with a beer
I wonder why I am here
A lame attempt to fit in
Nodding my head faking a grin
To pretend I'm not lofty
Give in to the parody
Songs are like tightly budgeted meals
Nobody's doing anything new or even real
Structures remain hermetically in tact
Yet spontaneity has gotten old goes way back
