Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord, hallelujah
Praise the Lord, O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth, who has set
Thy glory above the heavens
I will praise Thee, O Lord, with my whole heart
Now I can never praise you enough, but with this whole poem is where I'm gonna start
Blessed be the Lord my God, great is the Lord, for Thy loving kindness is good
I would shout it from the top of Mount Zion if I could, but nevertheless your praises
Shall continually be in my mouth as they should

For you are worthy to be praised, O, taste and see that the Lord is good
I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer
Now know I that the Lord's Savior is anointed and protects me from the deceiver
I thank Jesus Christ, for through Him I am a believer, can do all things, and I'm a overachiever
I will be glad and rejoice in Thee, for all Thy marvelous works you created everything
And it's all fit to create me
Thou has given me my heart's desire, cause you are my delight
Thou has saved me from the burning fire and told me to walk upright and in the light
you opened my eyes, even though I never lost my sight
you heard my cries, even though I was filthy in your sight
Washed me in your blood and let me know everything was gonna be alright

I will exalt Thee, O Lord, to keep my mouth shut is something I can't afford
Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus
Hallelujah, thank you, Lord
Bless your name, Lord, for your love it freed us
And because you're not a man that you can lie in your word, I will trust
You saved my soul, so praise isn't just because
It's a must
Truly, I couldn't save myself

I thank you for your mercy, and I thank you for your grace
I thank you for your patience, and I will continually seek your face
I wrote many other poems before, but they were all a waste
If they weren't about you, they can all be erased

It's true, your love is priceless
It can never be replaced
The Word says, be still and know that I am God, and I do
So you renew my strength and give me wings like eagles, because I wait for you
you decided the sky should be blue, and because I love in strength, I will wait on you
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me
Bless His holy name
O God, Thou art my guide

Early will I seek Thee, because after the fact just ain't the same
Thy power and glory is something to see, and because our love and kindness is better than
Life, my lips shall praise Thee
And unto Thee, O God, do I give thanks, thanks, thanks, and more thanks for loving me, forgiving
Me, and giving me your Word so I can stay rooted and grounded like a tree
Which reminds me how wonderful all your works are
The universe, the sun, the earth, all the way down to the animals that live in the tree
Have worth

Like King David said, how is it that you are mindful of me
I praise you for keeping me safe from the dangers I can see and can't see
You are my judge, defense, and deliverer
You are my shield, salvation, and I take you everywhere I go

I need you, and that's for sure
Thou art very great, clothed with honor and majesty, and a long-suffering for me, even
Though I came late
You caused the grass to grow in every continent and every state

You are so much more, but for lack of a better word, you're great

Praise the Lord, hallelujah
Glory, glory, glory
Why
Because you're worthy, that's why
Worthy to be praised
