Time Race

My ships sinking I don't know where to go
I tried to take a life raft
But it barley can float
I can't quote if my path
Is really looking for hope
The only way I can cope
Is if I write in these notes
My mind questions if I have the drive or passion
To take action
Start being the main attraction
And get reaction
Blocking out any distractions
And bad attachment
All I'm looking for is balance
Cause life's a challenge
Now I'm looking at the clouds
With my eyes grey
My lens looking over past time
Why stay
The clocks ticking in a time race
I'm in dismay and it's causing my heart
To move in fast pace
I gotta look over my shoulder
There's a jagged edge
I'm wiping all the sad tears that I shed
I'd rather pick myself up
And be at ease instead
And there's something deep inside of me
That needs to be said

I don't wanna run from the game no more
It helps keep my mind at peace
My heart leaks
From the blood that I shed for weeks
From the trauma that I faced
And it came with grief

But the weeds had grew
I became a different person
Damn who would have knew
I guess growing takes time
In this beautiful view
You wanna change your perception
Then it's starting with you
You wanna change you perception
Then it's starting with you
