A husbands infidelities
Left a tragedy to tarry
A secret their seeds should never had to carry

With the baggage of complicitous
Keepers of the bliss of her ignorance

For he was the glisten of their starlight
Now his dark makes it harder to reassess the bar height

Guarding a time bomb, eyes peeled
3 siblings play tag on a minefield

Kids crept, a dog slept tenderly

Ordinance, harmony morphed to a war song

Gorged on the grape avoided reflection
Of a headspace filled with poisonous venom

That home broke
And let the cold in

It's been disfigured by disgrace
That rose has frozen

Their mother eyed (I'd) the pan, it stewed to a pain
Her seeds couldn't bloom for the taint

Flame throwing tantrums and plates
Where sanity shattered into anthems of hate

He'd stabbed, escaped left blood for the finding
She painted a shrine to a crime scene

Wined without dining, arcing to villainy
If only she knew the beast that her kids would see

Misery spread through those cavities
Of a home transformed to menagerie

Amicable retreat they signed that waiver
Returned their mum to the safety he gave her

Forgave him for braving the lesser of two hells
Alone, together in a two cells

It's sad what they buried for some semblance of peace
