Dozen Roses & a Six-Pack (Commentary)
This is definitely one of my favorite songs I've ever written
It's a song that, you know, you look at the title
And you wonder how a dozen roses and beer can go together, and
It's just a song about a guy that's, you know, knows he messed up and he's, he's on the way home
And he's wondering if it's too late
So he stops by and gets him a six-pack of beer
After he stops by the flower shop to get roses 'cause he doesn't know if she's gonna be there
So it's pretty much saying that he doesn't know if she's gonna be home when he gets there
But he's gonna be prepared either way 'cause he's got a dozen roses
If she comes back home and six-pack if she don't
And that's another one I'm very proud of and uhm
It's a cool song to play live, it gets good reaction
I can't wait for folks to hear the cut
