Summer Song

The world keeps spinning on it's course
Around the star that is our source
Of heat and light
And endless good times
Passed through the equinox and life
Starts springing back into it's stride
Emerging
And we start to sing again

Changing seasons
Bringing reasons to be cheerful

Take pleasure
In the summer weather
Drinking wine
In the golden sunshine

I close my eyes and feel the kiss
Of sunlight dancing on my skin
I'm drifting
With the winter's lifting
A gentle breeze blows through my hair
The smell of cut grass on the air
I'm drinking
While the sun is sinking

Changing seasons
Bringing reasons to be cheerful

Take pleasure
In the summer weather
Feeling fine
In the golden sunshine

I love to spend an hour or two just
Staring up into the blue
Sunbathing
Soaking up the rays and
These simple things can be the cure
To help you when you're feeling blue
Medication
Well this is my prescription

Solar healing
Starlight feeling so much better

Take pleasure in the summer weather
Drinking wine in the golden sunshine

The world keeps spinning on it's course
Around the star that is our source
Of heat and light
And endless good times
And so the Solstice brings the prize
Of longest day and shortest night
Enjoy it
As we start back round again

Solar healing
Starlight feeling so much better
Changing seasons
Bringing reasons to be cheerful

Take pleasure in the summer weather
Feeling fine, while the golden sun shines
