Boys will be boys
And girls will be girls
They're genetically programmed
It's the way of the world
And you can't hold the tide back
You can't stem the flow
When the hormones take over
There's a loss of control and the

Church tried to stop them
To fill them with fear, told them
Sit on their hands
Cross their legs, say a little prayer
Perish the thought of
The stain and the crime of
A child being born out of
Wedlock and in the wrong
Place and time

The times they have changed
Now we understand chemistry
Take a pill, and
Control of your destiny
Power of choice is
Conflated with heresy
Wrapped up in ancient
Ideas of morality

And it seems like the
Puritan ones can't
Abide the idea that sex
Might just be fun and that
Banging away can be
Great recreation, not
Just about honouring
God with your body for
Procreation

Well it's all about power and
Maintaining control as they
Shackle you based upon
Forgotten scrolls and the
Stories that men handed
Down through millenia
Who added their spin to
Promote their agendas

And so those that
Believe in Creation
Exclude the right
To self determination
You're a pawn, you're a
Puppet on strings
A hostage to nebulous
Forces that no one has
Ever seen

Seems to me that a
Christian country
Should care more about
Those that are here and not
Get lost in dogma
In Fundamentality
Look out for the weak
Turn the other cheek

But we know that
Reality means
Christian Brothers and
Turbulent priests
TV Evangelists
Making a fortune from
Desperate people
To fund their abortions
