Pray to Your Comfort

What kind of scare do you think is fair?
Her mind's lured her into this lair
It is the truth she will have to bear
She'll have to step up and take all that care
But we learnt that she can't float
She cannot float with her own mind boat
Her anxiety made this moat
She'd have to shut it out; grab on the rope
It's in her benefit, it is grave
It may be too late to save face
For her, she needs to put on the cape
Now nobody can take her place (nobody)
But she would have to move
There's nothing that can lift her tune
Give her acclaim, give her the whole moon
Give her someone that can be more true
Give her a person that can help
Maybe stop herself from a melt
Crystal clear, this is what I see:
Her mind's at the bottom of the reef
She can't get it out, way too late
This play is cold in her place
She's not a scientist, she needs clocks
She's not yellow and sunny, she needs to move rocks
Scared to even leave the house
She's frightened of going out
Yeah, this whole thing's gone south
Won't tell her parents, won't spit it out
Won't let anyone know
That she's rolling into a hole
Getting closer to God, it seems
Thinking of making cuts, her seams

Thinking of breaking the skin for the first time
Do you hope that she is lying?
Hit the pit, literally her plight
When you start to think of this (you know there's no light)
Only darkness can take her in
Only darkness can be a friend
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent

Hopefully she'll turn out okay
The daunting light of tomorrow's day
Won't take the new-found black of her brain
She'll embrace it with all of the pain
Maybe she needs to feel alive
And doing this certainly might
But she doesn't know it does no good (most times)
Keeps hiding her head under her hood
The first time she's even thought of this
After seeing someone else with it
Cringing at the world's use of "slit"
Soon that'll fall down onto her wrist
But she doesn't know the aftermath
Of what might happen (classes are crashed)
It's no use scribbling on there
Lines form like the lines in her hair
She hasn't gone through with it yet
Still debating if it's worth the wreck
Her mental state's still on a check
Let me know when she hits that bet
(Let me know when she hits that bet)
(Let me know when she hits that bet)
No one should have to go through it
Even thinking of this ain't bliss
Take it from me, your brain gets ripped
The integrity just loses its grip

Thinking of breaking the skin for the first time
Do you hope that she is lying?
Hit the pit, literally her plight
When you start to think of this (you know there's no light)
Only darkness can take her in
Only darkness can be a friend
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent

Only darkness can take her in
Only darkness can be a friend
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent
Only darkness can take her in
Only darkness can be a friend
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent
Only the black messages will send
Giving away her perfect arms for lent

But when it's out of the way
Will she start to feel okay?
But when it's out of the way
I don't think she'll start to feel okay
It's hard to tell
I'm not receiving her mail
It's hard to tell
I need to give her mail (my mind mail)
I know she is down (I can see it)
Never recover from the ground
Stay there for so long
The duration of her parting song
It won't change
(Nothing will change and it will stay the same for her!)
Will I change to see the edge
Of a black horse and carriage?
Never recover from the ground
It is practically her ground
For how long she's been there for
The fog falls over her
And it won't leave
(The season's not autumn and nothing will work for her!)
She needs to be free
She's blade-running
I know she is down
Never recover from the ground
Stay there for so long
The duration of her parting song
Can there be hope?
Hope is what she's hoping for
Can there be hope
Stuck in four walls?

Can there be hope?
Hope is what she's roping for
Can there be hope
Stuck in four walls?
Can there be hope?
Hope is what she's hoping for
Can there be hope
Stuck in four walls?
