Dear Diary
Things are way different
Learning to let go of things insignificant
Haven't written for a little while
Revisiting old entries made me truly smile
That booger eating phase never stuck around
Thank goodness for that cuz that was gross
That little blue betta in that little tank
Now I'm all grown up wit my aquarium setups
Still love Batman and my Peter Pan tat
Reached my goal of ten
It's sexy to the women
Fell in love with my first crush
Got married to that first love
Then fell out of love
Then returned to us
The death of my father really caused a lot of issues
Led to drama wit my mama
RIP still regretful
Yo I had to get my head on straight
Couldn't be stuck in the past
I had a kid on the way
Now he's so big
He's my pride and joy
Captain of the team
Straight B student
He's working on the A's and we working on a second
He said he wants a sister
I'm not ready for that headache
Traveled round the world
Finally made it to Africa
Learned a lot
Sweeter the blacker huh
I came to terms with a lot of my problems
Figured out fast that money can't solve em
Worked on my soul
So in need of salvation
It's dark and hell is hot
Accepted Christ payment
Yo I tried to do right by my wife
And my kid
Provide the things that I'd never get
Show more patience
Show em motivation
Working hard for the money for these vacations
Dear Diary
Thank you for being there
Now I'm signing off
J Cowan through the years
Looking through the pages of my life
Brightest of days and the darkest of nights
Thank God for this life
What a life I've lived
I would never take it back
Every day was a gift
Looking through the pages of my life
Brightest of days and the darkest of nights
Thank God for this life
What a life I've lived
I would never take it back
Every day was a gift
