I wanna welcome you all to Self Care
See the idea behind Self Care
Is that you do something good for yourself
Something to work through ya emotions
Something to work through ya challenges
Work through ya struggles
Self Care is way for you to release and express yourself
And well lately I just find myself

Sitting at home
Tryna figure out what to do with all these emotions
Cause I'm all alone going through the motions
And it don't feel right
Cause I just feel like
Consuming all of the potions
Dove head first into the water
Feeling outta order
Now I'm in deep, and it feels like
I'm just swimming through all of the oceans
Trying hard, to hold em in
But it seems like how I feel's all that I'm showing
And I know, if I don't let go
Then the pain won't go
It'll only keep growing
And it's only so long
I can really hold on
Before, the tears start flowing
No matter how much I try to control it
I could wipe em away
But they'll just keep rolling
Down, the side of my face
Cause I'm feeling outta place in this race called life
All these thoughts on my mind keep me up all night
Feels like I'm wasting time as the days go by
All I wanna do is to do things right
But I'm up against myself
And when that's the case
It's a real hard fight
So I'm looking for the light

As a word of advice
I was told I should turn to the mic
So I sit, and try to determine the words I should write
Ones that'll bring all the darkness to light
Ones that'll bring my ideas to life
Ones that are ill
Ones that are real
Ones you can feel
Ones that might hit ya heart and help you to heal
Change yo life, or make it easier to deal
Reveal some truths and try to keep it honest
Specially when the radio's playing lotta garbage
Still respect it cause we all need an outlet
Ain't no need to be close minded about it
Everyone deserves to be heard
Cause being silenced constantly hurts
We all carry pain
Might not be the same
But expression's an umbrella that can shield some of the rain, mane
I ain't tryna do this fame
I don't even care if you remember my name
My only hope is that you understand my aim
I'm tryna create some relief for your brain
Give you space where it's safe to release
Express how you feel so that you remain sane
Trust it ain't a game
When it comes to Self Care, yeah, I swear
Best believe I ain't playing
