Taking time to fix things of my own

Matters only get worse and I end up feeling alone
Thoughts and emotions all on my dome

Of weakness to be shown
In a zone
Fighting hard, to protect home
But with no coach to show me the approach, I'm injury prone
In need of help
Shuffling these cards I been dealt
Cause the pain might not be seen, but it's certainly felt
And ain't no need for me to be alone, doing it myself
Like a shattered knee or bone, you immediately get help
Cause every one of us needs a team, including myself
Ain't no reason we should treat our minds like
They ain't fragile as hell
The mental and emotional is as important as our physical health
And we know that equals wealth

Sometimes, we just need to sit and talk with somebody
Who listens for the things we ain't ever told anybody
Trauma we hold on to, cause we ain't trust nobody
Ashamed
It could change, what people thought of us probably
When all we ever wanted was to feel like we were good enough
Get em to see who we are and never have to prove to them
That we worthy by doing what they think we should do for love
Never be so quick to judge
Take time to listen to us
Not assume
Cause we say we fine we ain't got no wounds
Give us room
To explore, some of the pain that looms
Left a bruise
Now dealing with more than just the black and blues
Ain't got a clue
Why I had to fill these shoes
Still confused
I just wanna clear it all up, before I hit the tomb
Cause in order for me to help whoever
I must get better
Plus it's best to lead by example
So why not go through this together? (why not?)

It's always much easier, said than done
Gotta fight the fear to find out where the feelings come from
Cause distancing ourselves to cope, only makes us numb
And if you if think the pain goes away I'm sorry to tell you
But that's dumb
There's only more to come
It doesn't help to run

Here's a few crumbs to the drums
The battles that are never fought, are the battles that are never won
So if you goin through it
Please reach out someone
It's never fun
To see someone swallow their pain or hold it in their lungs
There's so many other ways to release and relieve
You just gotta believe
And be open to receive
There's professionals, there's friends, there's also family
There's books, there's music, there's movies and TV
There's dance, martial arts, photography, poetry
So much to choose just pick a healthy form of therapy
